WE ARE HIRING for a BILLING ASSISTANT with a Starting Rate of $20/HR (Depending on Experience).

Westwood Post-Acute Skilled Nursing and Sub-Acute Center invites you to join our team! We are looking for a happy, caring, reliable, high-energy, and experienced Billing Assistant who's used to multi-tasking and a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

Under the direction and guidance of the Business Office Manager and other subject matter experts, the Billing Assistant performs duties in one or more of the following areas: Accounts Receivable, Revenue Cycle.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; college level courses in accounting or business preferred.

2. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility

Accounts Receivable (A/R) Duties:

1. Processes monthly billing.

2. Assists with preparing electronic bank deposits for posting.

3. Assists with and maintains resident trust accounts.

4. Assists with monthly resident account statement preparation.

5. Runs daily census report and inputs changes into PointClickCare (PCC).

6. Runs Medicare eligibility reports.

7. Obtains approvals for TARs.

8. Performs petty cash reconciliations.

9. Conducts the Medi-Cal billing processes.

10. Performs private collections.

11. Manages Medi-Cal Treatment Authorization Requests (TARs).

12. Handles the Medi-Cal eligibility and application processes.

13. Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of the company.

14. Performs other tasks as assigned.

15. Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. Knowledge of computerized payroll and bookkeeping systems.

2. Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.

3. Skilled in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

4. Ability to be accurate, concise, and detail oriented.

5. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
